Artist's Comments:
I painted this when I was feeling trapped in an unsupportive landscape, needing to break through to a place that could nourish my soul. Snails, incidentally, are lunar symbols since they appear mostly at night. They represent feminine energy, continuity, and the slow and steady progress made towards the journey “home.”
